Eddie was relinquished because he had
begun chasing horses. Of course, that implies that he was
being poorly managed, not because there was anything wrong with him.
The story goes: his original owner purchased him in southern
Illinois from a Border Collie breeder (who did not have a process to
take him back). His first owner then gave him to a second
owner who allowed him to run loose and run amok with the horses.
Working bred herding dogs have an interest in livestock and need
good management if they are to keep themselves out of trouble.
His owner had decided to shoot him for his bad behavior, so we
agreed to take Eddie into our 360 Degree program.
Eddie has a very sweet and loving disposition.
He is very small for a male, but is clearly ALL Border Collie.
He has a very nice body and should make a good performance dog.
Part of his 360 training will include proper introduction to sheep
herding so that his abilities can be assessed. He may make a
wonderful hobby herding partner.
Eddie is heartworm negative. He
is up to date on his vaccinations and has been neutered.
He is currently in training in the
360 Degree Program and is a very quick study.
