Remember, no
dog is perfect. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Because dogs
are a reflection of their relationship with the humans in their
life, there really is no such thing as a "trained dog".
Training without proper management and leadership, does not transfer
from one person to another. You need to earn a dog's trust and
confidence through good leadership. You need to practice
leadership on a daily basis with your dog. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Dogs require direction and consistency.
This is especially true of a dog that has been allowed to run the
house or retreat from societal norms because it has never
experienced fair, sound leadership. All of our 360 Degree Dogs
have, at one or more times in their lives, experienced an unbalanced
environment. Therefore, they will require hands-on, daily
practice sessions with their new owners to maintain their education. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
During the New Owner Education Session,
a 3-4 hour, custom designed meeting for you and your new dog, you
will learn about the training methods that we employed to
rehabilitate your new dog. You will learn about dog
psychology. You will hear about your specific dog's education
and potential issues. Then, you'll see the dog working well
with a handler. Finally, after you get the chance to see what
good leadership should look like, we will coach you while you
establish a healthy, happy relationship with your new dog.
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
Your dog will have been taught to obey a
set of commands. It is by practicing those exercises with your
new dog that you will establish yourself as his fair, kind,
consistent leader - right from the first day that you meet.
Unlike dogs that have developed bad habits with their owners that
come for our normal Board & Train program, your 360 Degree Dog will
not have any memories of a bad relationship with you. So, you
can start fresh with the appropriate human-canine rapport. |

If you are interested in any of the dogs
on this page, please fill out the
On-Line Application and we will
contact you promptly.
Due to our schedule, we
do not have time to accommodate folks who just want to come and
visit with the dogs. Our days consist of training dogs or
their people (which is best if not interrupted) or caring for and
managing the dogs - so, we need to schedule visits by appointment
and plan our days accordingly. We truly only have time for
folks who demonstrate their intent by submitting an application.
Submitting an application does not bind you in any way to the
process or a specific dog. But, it does allow us to screen
potential homes prior to dedicating any further resources to what
may not be an appropriate home for a 360 Degree Dog. We
appreciate your understanding in that regard. |
