Goose Dog Service

Because of their desire to work with their handlers and take direction, herding dogs can be trained to deter ducks and geese from making a home at Municipal parks and swimming areas, lakefront property, industrial parks as well as golf courses. 

If your facility is within 40 miles of Brownstown, IL, we can travel to your facility and utilized our trained dog to rid your property  of geese or ducks.  This is an environmentally friendly way to eradicate unwanted water fowl (and their droppings) from your grounds.  The geese are not harmed, they simply find a more suitable place to live.  Trained Border Collies have been identified as significantly more effective at resolving unwanted goose populations than all other available options, including chemical treatment of lawns, bang guns, predator kites or decoys, laser lights and human or vehicle presence.

We can also train a goose dog for your specific requirements and provide handling instruction so that you may utilize your own dog at your facility.  Please contact us if you would like to explore this option.

We primarily use Border Collies to eliminate geese, but we also have a mixed breed dog, Maggie, who is a wonderful goosedog.  Above, she is working in tandem with Jaye, a Border Collie.	Our six acre pond offers plenty of water for training a goose dog.
