We wish we could do everything at once, but its just not possible. So, wed like to share with you our future plans for "The Milk House".
Prior to the late 1960s, our fifty acre farm was once a fully functioning dairy. Since then, it has been tilled every year for cash crops. When we purchased the farm in June 2001, we were so happy to bring grass back to the land, which was once rich Illinois prairie. Now our sheep graze here, just like the dairy herds once did.
Because there was an existing dairy, there is a wonderful, old Milk House that aches for revitalization. Our plan is to breath life back into the space by converting it into a Guest Cottage. Its spacious enough to accommodate a king sized bed, a kitchenette, sitting area and an extra large bath with whirlpool tub. Those are the plan, at least!
Sometime in the future, you will be able to stay on-sight while enjoying all that DarnFar has to offer. Youll have the option of reserving it for your Judge or your Trial Secretary when your club hosts events at DarnFar. We love the peaceful, rural environment so much, we think its nice to share that experience with others.
Imagine a splendid day of herding where you can stop back at the cottage to freshen up a bit. Then, consider taking a long, leisurely walk around the 3 acre pond with your dog, sitting on a bench watching the Great Blue Herons fish for their supper, and finally retiring to the cottage for a relaxing bath, all without having to get back into your car. Thats what we hope to offer when the Milk House plans come to life.
If you think you might want to take advantage of this sort of opportunity, drop us a note and let us know what you would expect. Since we have not yet started the reconstruction, we are open for all the ideas we can receive.

Such a cute puppy-woo! DarnFar Breeze will be sure to welcome you when you visit.
